Girtons ATA Taekwondo

YOUTH & TEEN MARTIAL ARTS

Today’s world is getting tough for kids and teens. Our goal is to create a safe place to learn self-defense, discipline, and confidence without being ridiculed for their mistakes. This sense of identity will boost their confidence and help increase their assertiveness when dealing with the high-pressure situations they’re faced with on a daily basis. Kids and teens need a place to become independent from their parents, and be challenged to work towards their maximum potential.

Plus, our frequent teen social activities help them to get involved with other teens who have similar goals and standards. This is a great way to keep accountability and increase social-skills.

At Girtons ATA Taekwondo, we Teach the Same Values You Teach at Home.

"Both my kids go here and both of them absolutely love learning and going to the classes. Lessons are broken down to have fun and teach self-discipline. Everyone involved in the school is very friendly and the Girtons are a fantastic duo to work with. I definitely recommend this martial arts school! It is without a doubt the best school in the Milwaukee Area."

Leadership

Our dedicated leadership team consists of advanced students who want to share their knowledge of Taekwondo with their juniors. The Leadership program teaches responsibility, respect, and goals. Our leadership team is educated on what respect means and how to treat the juniors and seniors with respect. Lastly, the Leadership students are taught how to set and achieve goals. The students that participate in Leadership are students that have set a goal to be an instructor. A benefit to being on the Leadership team is the ability to earn points in tournaments. Those points are accumulated throughout the tournament season and are used to rank the top ten students in every division.

Special Abilities

Children and adults with special abilities can find success in the ATA. Whether its physical or cognitive, special ability students can look forward to a specialized program to suit their needs and ensure their success in Taekwondo.

At Girtons ATA, special abilities students are given all the same opportunities as any other student and are on their own track for success. This individualized plan with our special ability students makes them feel comfortable and accomplished. Girtons ATA instructor, Bill Girton, is a perfect example of a special abilities student. Being physically challenged, Mr. Girton has designed his own training plan to suit his physical needs and has recently found success! Girtons ATA is proud that not only is Mr. Girton our first World Champion, he is our first World Champion in special abilities as well.

"I have my little one enrolled in ATA Tigers. He really loves it so far, and I can tell his confidence is increasing. I would highly recommend this for parents who want to start their kids on the path of leadership skills, self-control and physical fitness."
